Labelled a sprawling metropolis by some, London does not pretend to disagree. With its distinct character and contemporary urban fabric, London boasts its acclaimed high streets. Founded on sparky communities and distinctive charm, together, illustrate a sense of localism created by a collection of businesses. The independents, the recognised names and the international game changers.

 

Whilst it is a shade under 5 years since I last wore my (questionable) retail uniform, I am fortunate my current career has kept me on the high street. Looking from a new perspective, I am now involved in the fabrication of London's acclaimed shopping districts and neighbourhood gems.

Lockdown was inevitable and necessary, however, this page is to show my gratitude to all those who kept their lights on, their shop window dressed and doors open to provide our essential items. Such are the leaders who, as a collective, continue to evolve the high street to create the new normal.
